- Mr. Braun earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1987 from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo California. In 1989, he co-founded Border Valley Trading which has two locations in California. Mr. Braun is also a partner in Mesquite Cattle Feeders, LLC; a beef cattle feeding operation with 40,000 head of capacity and founded in 1994. In 2001, Mesquite partnered with seven other local cattle feeder to build and operate a beef processing company called Brawley Beef, LLC. Mr. Braun also has business interests in a ruminant nutrition and technical services company, a logistics company and a natural gas fueling solution’s company. Mr. Braun was the founding President of the U.S. Forage Export Council and has served on the Board of Directors of the National Hay Association. He has over 27 years of experience in the export hay business.
